Marmol Radziner + Associates was established in 1989 in Los Angeles, launching a unique design/build practice led by architects. Since then we have developed a reputation for meticulous research, innovative design, and precise construction. In 2004, we were named “Firm of the Year” by the American Institute of Architects California Council.

Marmol Radziner + Associates currently employs more than 60 architects, landscape designers, and fabricators, plus a construction crew numbering over 40.

Our projects wouldn’t succeed without great design, but great design can’t succeed without great construction. Whether a community center or a pristine piece of furniture, we ensure the superior quality of the finished product by making it ourselves. We house our own cabinet and metal shops, and on the job site we operate as contractors as well as architects. In addition to being perfectionists, we believe we better serve our clients by providing these multiple services.

In 1996, we began expanding our expertise to include prefabricated steel-frame construction. Initially we applied these technologies only to commercial projects. But in Spring 2005 we completed our first residential project made with prefabricated modules: the Desert House, located outside of Palm Springs. Designed for principal Leo Marmol and his wife Alisa Becket, this residence became the prototype for our innovative venture, Marmol Radziner Prefab.
