The cost of our homes depends on a number of factors, including design, specifications, location, and property conditions. In general, modular prefab construction is comparable in cost to like-quality site-built construction and homes can be developed for a range of budgets. However, modular prefab construction offers greater predictability and control of the building process. We have provided some construction cost estimates to help you evaluate the cost of building a new prefab home. Additional site costs vary by property for surrounding elements such as landscaping, sidewalks and driveways, pools, garages or carports, and fencing. Difficult soil conditions or steep hillside locations incur higher foundation costs. Installing core utilities such as septic systems or drilling wells also increase the project cost.
Finally, there are pre-construction or “soft costs” for any project. These include architectural fees, engineering fees, building permits, and printing costs. These costs differ by project and are not included in our construction cost estimates.
